It's been years since I worked as
a professional photographer. Nowadays I shoot for the love of it, only
occasionally doing commercial work. Along the way something strange and
wonderful happened. I was free to do things my way without second-guessing from
clients or an art director.
My style is frankly old-fashioned and a little naive. There are no PhotoShop tricks or weird effects. Instead, the model is the star, not the photographer. I enjoy the simplicity of what I do. There's a terrific benefit in this for the model. Agencies and prospective clients want to see what the model looks like. Instead of being hidden behind flash and glitter, the model take center stage. It takes a special kind of natural beauty to flourish in the spotlight. When it is there, it comes shining through.
