Some of the best pictures come from over-the-air HDTV broadcasts. In my case, even an inexpensive indoor HDTV antenna from Radio Shack does the trick. Here's a site that will tell you the type antenna you need, based on where you live: CEA Antenna site.

  You probably already know that screen size for television is measured on the diagonal. And over the years, you've developed a pretty mental picture of the screen size if someone says 26-inch TV, or 21-inch TV. But the wide screen of HDTV throws all that a kilter. Here's a chart that might help.
